Geppetto and me - Boys room

The boys really liked this room the way it was, they are very easy to please.  They even loved their older room at the beloved house  (before I got my hands on) that included nautical wallpaper, dark blue walls and red carpet.  It is a small room so I think we need to go lighter on the walls.  The chalk board wall will stay.

The plan for this room is to re floor with laminate, paint walls 2 different colors, add molding to separate colors, and  get new baseboards.

We ended up doing most of this room in 3 days, because we needed a place for family to stay during the weekend.  It was crazy but it was fun to see it happen so fast.

Finished room.  There is some finishing touches I would like to do, like putting up some shelves. and getting closet doors.  

 I really love how much light this room has even with the darker blue on top.

October - Ottobre

General Conference

Our first time attending GC!  For all of us.  The perks of leaving so close to SLC.

La prima volta che vediamo la conferenza generale live.  Uno dei vantaggi di abitare cosi vicino a Salt Lake City.

The Hansens stopped by after conference to say hi.  We love and miss them.  So fun to see a familiar face.

La famiglia Hansen si e' fermata a salutarci dopo la conferenza.  E' bello vedere i nostri amici di Rexburg.

 Cousin Helaman came during his Octorber break to spend time in Provo.  We spent a few hours with him at a pizza joint in Provo.

Helaman, uno dei tanti cugini e' venuto a Provo per un paio di giorni e noi siamo andati a cenare con lui.

Get away

 When we try to plan something for me and Ismar we always have opposition. This almost did not happen. We were able to do an overnight date, went to dinner, walked around the mall for a bit,watched TV without interruptions, and spent the night in a hotel.  It was rejuvenating.

Dopo 19 anni di matrimonio abbiamo deciso di passare un po' di tempo da soli, siamo andati a cena, passeggiato, guardato la televisione senza interruzioni, e passato la notte in un hotel.  Ci siamo davvero rilassati.  Ora che i bambini sono piu' grandi ed Italia guida e' piu' facili lasciarli.

October break

 Ismar has worked only 1/2 days during October break to make sure he spent time doing activities with the kids.

I started a new blog to document all the house renovations.  We are incognito on the blog to protect our identity, since we have very unique names.  It is always open to the public.  I will post stuff on this blog as well but this blog is not always open to the public.

Ho creato un altro blog per documentare tutti i lavori fatti in casa.  Io ed Ismar siamo incognito su questo blog per mantenere la nostra identita' segreta dato che abbiamo dei nomi non molto in comune da queste parti. Per questo quando parlo di Ismar lo chiamo Geppetto e quando parlo di me stessa mi riferisco a "me".  Da notare il titolo Geppetto and me.
