Piggy - Porcelli

 This year we got a pig...ours it the pink one with the black spots in the back.  Ok....it's not a pet.  We are keeping it at a friend's farm until it's time for you know what.  After watching videos of animal mass production of  for meat production we feel good to know that this piggy here is not being mistreated and will have had a good life.  This year our goal has been to eat less meat (once a week).  We don't believe in cutting meat completely out of our  diet, but we do believe in moderation.  This has been a great experience for our children as well, to be involved in this "project", especially to understand and see that what they find on the table was a living creature once.

 Abbiamo un porcellino, il nostro e' quello nero con le macchie nere sulla schiena.  Lo teniamo alla fattoria di un amico di lavoro di Ismar fino a che non sara' il momento di...  Avendo visto molti documentari di maltrattamento di animali per soddisfare la domanda di carne che viene venduta nei supermercati abbiamo deciso di crescere il nostro maiale.  Questo maiale non sara' maltrattato e sappiamo esattamente cosa ha mangiato durante il suo periodo in vita.  Credo che se le persone mangiassero meno carne tutte queste crudelta' non succederebbero.  Un nostro obbiettivo quest'anno e' stato di mangiare la carne una volta alla settimana, e ci siamo riusciti.  Crediamo che tutto vada usato in moderazione.  Per il momento questa e' stata una buona esperienza anche per i bambini per fargli vedere e capire che quello che trovano a tavola e' stato un essere vivente.

Ho preso un telefono nuovo e queste sono alcune foto fatte per sperimentare le abilita' della macchina fotografica.

Questa foto e' stata fatta prima di mandare i bambini a scuola perche' gli facevano la foto a scuola.  Anche quest'anno il fotografo ha fatto schifo e non ho comprato le foto dei bambini.

I am glad I took this picture of my boys before picture day at school because even this year they turned out terrible. 

Gaia

 Gaia and her kids came to visit us during their spring break, so we went bowling with the kids since some areas of the state like Yellowstone still had snow.

 Gaia e i bambini sono venuti a trovarci dato che avevano delle feste dalla scuola per la primavera.  Dato che Yellowstone aveva ancora neve abbiamo portato i bambini a giocare a bowling.

 Poche settimane fa Italia si e' messa l'apparecchio.

Pinewood Derby 2015

 Last year Stefano got 2nd place. This year he got 1st place.  His car is the red one with the number 3 in the front.  Ismar was in Italy for work at the time of the race but we were able to Skype while Stefano was racing.

L'anno scorso Stefano e' arrivato secondo alla corsa delle macchinine di legno.  Quest'anno pero' e' arrivato primo!  La sua macchina e' quella rossa con il numero 3 davanti.  Sfortunatamente Ismar stava lavorando in Italia ma grazie a Skype ha potuto vedere parte della corsa.
