Emma

No year book? No problem! I got my whole body that can serve as one.  I guess that was Emma's philosophy this year, year books are $50 at the high-school and I only bought one for both Emma and Italia.  Hey maybe this can become the new tradition and it will save me $50 bucks...or not.

Le scuole qui hanno tutti un album di foto degli studenti che vendono tutti gli anni. Alle scuole superiori costa $50 dollari ad album, io avendo sia Emma che Italia ne ho comprato solo uno ed ovviamente lo ha tenuto la maggior parte del tempo Italia, quindi Emma ha deciso di usare se stessa, nel vero senso della parola, come album.  Mi sono dimenticata di dire che in questi album i ragazzi ci scrivono messaggi dentro.

Accent wall - Parete diversa

With everyone coming for the graduation we had to finish the floor in the dining room and Ismar insisted on an accent wall. This was my quickest option to an accent wall.  I really like how this turned out and let me tell you that the rock star in this project was the frog tape.

Ismar voleva una parete diversa dentro la sala pranzo, dato che abbiamo finito i pavimenti di volata e dovevamo rimettere il tavolo dentro abbiamo deciso di fare delle strisce biance al muro per fare qualcosa di veloce,  ma carino, anche perche' il giorno dopo sarebbe arrivata la suocera.  Questo progetto e' stato veloce, c'e' voluto piu' a mettere lo scotch che a rimbiancare.  

Stefano

Stefano is going into middle school and this was his promotion.  He was lucky to have a great teacher this year, Ms. Smidt.  He still wants to become a dentist.  He can make that happen, because he is dedicated.

Stefano e' stato promosso ed andra' alle scuole medie il prossimo anno.  E' stato fortunato ad aver una buona maestra quest'anno, Ms. Smidt.  Sogna ancora di diventare un dentista e con la sua tenacia lo puo' fare.  

Graduation Party - Festa x Italia

We through Italia a graduation party the week before graduation, we realized we have the perfect backyard for parties.  We set up a few tables, lights, a karaoke machine and we were good to go.

Abbiamo scoperto di aver il giardino perfetto per fare le feste. Abbiamo messo dei tavoli, luci, un posto per il karaoke ed e' venuto tutto molto bello soprattutto quando ha fatto buio.

These are some of my friends: Lupe provided the lights, Karaoke and a few tables, Andrea and Melissa are my Italian friends who happen to be in town this weekend.  We tried to keep our adult friends to a minimum.

Questi sono dei miei amici.  La mia amica Lupe e suo marito mi hanno aiutato e prestato le luci, il karaoke, e dei tavoli.  Andrea e Melissa sono degli amici studenti che vivono a Rexburg ma si trovavano qui questo fine settimana. 

Cut - Taglio

I wanted something different for my upcoming trip to Italy, mostly the color.  I went with the purpose of getting purple stricks but they turned out to be more on the magenta side...which looked good anyways.  I do love the cut.

Per il mio viaggio in Italia volevo un colore diverso, ho chiesto i riflessi viola ma me li hanno fatti piu' sul rosso.  Ma sono venuti bene quindi non mi sono lamentata, il taglio lo ha fatto bene.  Ho passato un periodo dove odiavo i miei capelli, adesso che stanno crescendo mi stanno piacendo un po' di piu'.

Award - Medaglia

Italia has taken so  many classes in the medical field that she got a medical legion award to ware during graduation.

Italia ha completato molti corsi sotto l'aspetto medico che le hanno dato una medaglia con il vestito durante la cerimonia del diploma.  Non mi sembra quasi vero che ha quasi 18 anni, e che andra' al college.

New color - Colore

I wanted something different and fun, I was going for purple highlights but the hair stylist went a little more on the red side...it's OK because I like it red too!  Ready for my trip.

Volevo un colore scuro con i riflessi viola, ma il parrucchiere mi ha fatto un colore sul rosso, che va bene lo stesso perche' mi piace anche cosi'.  Adesso sono pronta per il mio viaggio!

Church - Chiesa

Ismar is gone to Peru and it seems that every time he is gone we get ready for church sooner.  This is a picture I sent him to let him know everyone was ready...Italia was in the bathroom that's why she is not in the picture.

Ismar e' in Peru, tutte le volte che e' in viaggio la domenica siamo sempre pronti in orario per andare in chiesa, infatti in questa foto i bambini stanno guardando i cartoni prima di andare.  Italia era ancora in bagno a farsi i capelli.

Dinning room - Sala

The big push is to have this room done before Ismar's mom comes and before graduation.  This room went quicker with the help of some angels.

This is the back splash in the kitchen.  I am showing off this precise cut Ismar did....impressive!

Queste sono le mattonelle che mettiamo al muro in cucina, sono fiera di questa mattonella che ha tagliato Ismar.

My office - Mio ufficio

This is my office!  No kidding I work in the closet.  I am a recording artist for Talkbox.mom, I recorded an audio book in Italian.  It has been fun to feel like I am working again even from inside a closet.

Questo e' il mio ufficio!  Eh si, proprio dentro l'armadio perche' sono la voce di un libro audio in italiano.  E' bello sentirsi parte di qualcosa anche se da dentro un armadio.  La compagnia per cui lavoro si chiama Talkbox.mom.

Back yard - Giardino

I trimmed the bushes while Ismar was in Peru'.  I did it because he would not have let me if he was around. It is so fun to see everything come alive for the first time.

Questi cespugli sono stati sfoltiti quando Ismar era in viaggio di lavoro in Peru', perche' quando non c'e' il gatto i topi ballano.  Questa primavera stiamo vedendo tutto fiorire, e' bellissimo.
