So one of our favorite families in the ward and neighborhood moved to Texas in February, leaving us with less Sunshine and Italia without her best friend.  They came back this summer and we were able to see them almost every day.  Italia's best friend Abby was able to stay with us for 4 days.  Stefano was able to see his first love, Riley.  When asked who is more beautiful Riley or Taylor Swift he will not budge and insists their beauty is equal.  Emma was also able to spend time with Delaney.  This summer has been very boring for us with the move and the location we have moved to.  This visit has been the highlight of our summer.  I was happy to see Sunshine so much and also get together with the ladies from book group.  Unfortunately they have had to go back but we made the most out of the time we had together.  They will be missed and hopefully we'll see them soon.

Una delle famiglie che veniva in chiesa con noi e che viveva nello stesso nostro vicinato si e' trasferita a febbraio nel Texas.  Lasciandoci senza la miglior amica di Italia (Abby) and il primo amore di Stefano (Riley).  Quando chiedo a Stefano chi sia piu' bella Taylor Swift o Riley, insiste e dice che sono tutte e due belle.  Anche Emma ha passato un paio di giorni con la sua amica Delaney.  Con il trasloco e il posto dove stiamo ora la nostra estate e' stata molto noiosa e non abbiamo fatto niente di divertente.  Per fortuna in questa settimana piena di amici ogni giorno abbiamo fatto qualcosa di diverso.  Purtroppo sono dovuti ritornare in Texas ma speriamo di riverderli presto.

Tutti gli anni per il suo compleanno Ismar riceve un paio di pantaloncini corti.  Il primo anno di matrimonio e' stato il primo regalo che gli ho fatto io ed ho deciso di continuare tutti gli anni a regalargli un paio di pantaloncini.  Ormai e' diventata tradizione.  Ha ricevuto anche delle camicie nuove per cominciare un nuovo anno scolastico come maestro alla nuova scuola.

Fase trasloco- Moving

Siamo in fase trasloco, queste sono alcune scatole che ho messo nella stanza dei giocattoli, appena ci trasferiamo metteremo le foto della casa nuova.  Non vedo sia finito tutto perche' momentariamente qui c'e' un casino tremendo e voglio tornare alla normalita'.  Trasloco comincera' il 10 giugno

We are moving, these are some of the boxes I have packed and designated to the play room.  As soon as we are fully moved in we will post pictures of the new house.  Can't wait till the madness is over  and go back to a normal routine.  We will start moving June 10th.

Corso di Anatomia e Fisiologia Anatomy and Physiology Class

 Lo scorso autunno ho preso un corso di anatomia e fisiologia del corpo unamo.  Ho imparato tante cose interessanti di come funziona il sistema digestivo, urinario, riproduttivo ecc. ecc.  Sfortunatamente il professore che mi sono ritrovata non aveva mai insegnato  e quindi ci dava tantissimo "materiale" da studiare che spesso  non era necessario. Siamo stati tutti le sue caviette.  La cosa piu' spettacolare che abbia mai visto in questo corso e' stato vedere i polmoni in funzione, e poi vabbe' il cadavere. Questi sono tutti i fogli che ho dovuto stampare per un corso, non contando il libro e il quadernone ad anelli per la pratica nel laboratorio.  Questo fine settimane ho buttato via tutto.

Last fall I took an Anatomy and Physiology class.  I learned very interesting things about all the systems our body has, my favorite was lab and working with the cadaver.  Also seeing a pair of lungs being inflated for the first time was memorable.  Unfortunately my lecture  professor had never taught college before so he would give 100 to 150 slides for concept.  Needless to say most of the stuff was repeated and he was not able to cover it all. We were his guinea pigs, I hope never to be any other professor's guinea pig.   So gladly this weekend I was able to throw it all in the recycle.  If I did not believe in recycling trust me I would have burned it!

Dato che la mamma e' in missione quest'anno ho dovuto fare la pastiera da sola.  Dopo 3 tentativi di fare la pasta frolla e aver buttato piu' di un kilo di pasta finalmente ecco a voi la PASTIERA.    Non e' molto bella in apparenza ma credetemi era buona.

Since my mom is on a mission, this year I have had to resort to making my own Pastiera.  Pastiera is a traditional Napolitan easter pie.  It took me 3 tries to make the pie crust and I through away 1 kg of dough....but here it is.



Il mio 32esimo compleanno. Ile's 32nd B-Day.

Per il mio compleanno siamo stati a cena fuori tutti insieme, ho ricevuto dei regalini da Ismar e dai bambini.  Ismar mi ha fatto anche un dolce al cioccolato con salsa al cioccolato e ripieno di cioccolato, praticamente una bomba calorica da mangiare una volta l'anno.

For my birthday we had dinner at the Cheese Cake Factory.  Ismar and the kids gave me some small presents.  Ismar also made me a chocolate molten cake with homemade chocolate sauce.  It was something you definately only eat once a year.  It was good.
