Christmas 2013 - Natale 2013

I still haven't figured out why my pictures in my camera won't load up to my computer so this is all I have  for now.  We celebrated our Chirstmas a couple of days early because we headed down to Arizona to spend it with family.  We let the kids open a few presents.

Thanksgiving 2013 Craner style

 A couple of days before Thanksgiving Cisco and Erin came to visit us in Rexburg.  We loved every minute of it.  We then headed to meet them in Boise for the big event, Craner style.  This was the second best Thanksgiving since I have lived here in the States (the 1st one was at the Craners as well, 12 years prior). Cammi, Erin's sister was kind enough to invite us for this special event.  I wish I had taken a picture of the big spread but I was too excited and got busy eating before I could take a picture.

Per il giorno del ringraziamento siamo stati a casa della famiglia di mia cognata Erin, in Boise.  Quattro ore, da Rexburg.  Siamo stati invitati dalla sorella di Erin, Cammi che vive li'.  E' stato un pasto veramente autentico e molto buono.  Cosi' buono che invece di fare la foto alle tavolate di cibo mi sono messa a mangiare e non ho fotografato niente.

One week later - Una settimana dopo

Questa foto e' stata fatta il 4 settembre, 6 giorni dopo che ho finito il tempo.  Questi giorni sono stati passati  cercando di prepararmi come se ogni giorno ci sia la possibilita' dell'arrivo di questo bambino/a.  A questo punto ero letteralmente disperata e cominciavo a credere davvero di rimanere in queste condizioni a vita.

This picture was taken the day 6 days after my due date.  Every day I woke up getting ready with the hope this baby would come.  I had reached the end of my rope really beliving I would be like this for the rest of my life....pregnant.

Sofia

Being one week over due I went to get an ultrasound to check on the baby's amniotic fluid.  The midwife said that if the fluid was low we had to induce.  The ultrasound revailed that it was lower then the norm so she told me to go home get my stuff, kids situated and meet at the hospital to be induced.  The boys stayed with my friend Allysun until Erin (the sister-inlaw) flew in to take care of them while I was in the hospital.  The delivery went well, since I am a pro at this I only pushed 2 times and she came out screaming like a DIVA.  Newborns usually have stuff in their mounth and don't cry right away....not her.  Italia and Emma were there the whole time and were happy to see their sister be born...and so was Ismar.  Everything went well and I feel as light as a feather.

Dopo una settimana di ritardo sono stata a farmi un ultrasound per vedere quanto fluido aveva il bambino/a.  Hanno subito dedotto che era meno del normale quindi l'ostetrica ha deciso di cominciare il parto indotto lo stesso giorno dopo pranzo.  Siamo tornati a casa a prendere la borsa e ho fatto un paio di telefonate per assicurarmi che i bambini avessero un posto dove andare.  Mia cognata Erin arrivava lo stesso pomeriggio verso le 5:30, fortunatamente lei si poteva prendere cura dei bambini mentre ero in ospedale.  La mia amica Allysun nel frattempo mi ha guardato Stefano e Luca fino all'arrivo di Erin.
 Il parto e' andato molto bene, ormai sono una professionista, ho spinto 2 volte ed e' uscita urlando come una diva una bambina  (di solito non piangono subito ed hanno roba in bocca che va aspirata).  Italia ed Emma hanno assistito al parto, erano felicissime, come lo era anche Ismar.  Per fortuna e' andato tutto bene.
Io mi sento leggerissima.
