Pinewood Derby 2015

 Last year Stefano got 2nd place. This year he got 1st place.  His car is the red one with the number 3 in the front.  Ismar was in Italy for work at the time of the race but we were able to Skype while Stefano was racing.

L'anno scorso Stefano e' arrivato secondo alla corsa delle macchinine di legno.  Quest'anno pero' e' arrivato primo!  La sua macchina e' quella rossa con il numero 3 davanti.  Sfortunatamente Ismar stava lavorando in Italia ma grazie a Skype ha potuto vedere parte della corsa.

Christmas - Natale 2014

La vigilia di Natale e' cominciato a nevicare, ed indovinate chi si e' fermato a farci una bella visitina?  Babbo Natale!    Essendo stati tutti bravi doveva fermarsi.  Con noi a cena sono stati due studenti del El Salvador (Eduardo ed Angel) che non sono potuti tornare nel proprio paese natale per le feste, quindi sono stati con noi.  Abbiamo fatto la carne asada, guacamole, pico de gallo, riso, e per finire la flan.  Tutta roba delle parti di Ismar.  La vigilia la festeggiamo stile latino americano e il Natale all'italiana.

On Christmas eve it started to snow, and Santa stopped by since we have had good kids.  It was magical.  We spent dinner with some students from El Salvador (Eduardo and Angel) because they didn't go back to their native land for the holidays.  We had a good dinner with carne asada, rice, guacamole, pico de gallo, and flan for dessert.  We decided to celebrate latin american style on the eve and Italian on Christmas day.  It was nice to have the students over with us.

 Il giorno di Natale lo abbiamo passato soli tra noi.  Abbiamo aperto i regali al mattino, ho fatto dei cinnamon rolls per colazione e poi una bella lasagna, con insalata e per finire il pandoro e panettone.  La neve come vedete si e' accumulata molto velocemente.  Siamo stati soli ma siamo stati bene lo stesso.

On Christmas day we spend it just our family.  We opened presents in the morning and had a late breakfast with cinnamon rolls.  Lasagna, salad, bread was for lunch and for dessert panettone for Ismar and pandoro for the rest of us.  The snow came down slow and steady.  This is our first and only Christmas that we have spent alone.  It was a good one after all.

 Ogni anno mio cognato Francisco mi regala un calendario dei paesaggi italiani, anche quest'anno nonostante la lontananza mi ha spedito il calendario.  E' diventata una tradizione.

My brother in law, Francisco, gives me a calendar of Italian senaries.  Even this year he made sure I got one.  It has become tradition.

Arizona

 Dato che i miei sono tornati dalla missione la prima settimana di Dicembre, ho deciso di andare a fargli una sorpresa e di andarli a trovare.  Sono arrivata di giovedi' pomeriggio, e li ho sorpresi giovedi' sera.  Come potete vedere l'entusiasmo del babbo.  Sia il babbo che la mamma sono tornati malati.  E' stato un bel soggiorno, vedere tutti, anche se solo una volta.  Purtroppo non ho fatto foto a tutti. Questo soggiorno mi ha ricordato molto com'era la vita qui in Arizona quando vivevamo qui, passavamo tanto tempo con la famiglia.  Ho sentito anche un po' di nostalgia per come erano le cose e come non lo sono piu'.  Soprattutto sotto le vacanze e sapendo che quest'anno staremo soli in Idaho.  Ma non posso lamentarmi perche' anche se sono lontana, la vita che sto' vivendo in Idaho e' bella comunque.

My parents are back from their mission and I decided to surprise them.   Unfortunatly they came back a little sick but we were able to visit anyways. I tried seeing everybody even if I didn't take a picture.  This visit brought back memories of when we lived in AZ and how much time we spent with family.  I was a little sad to go back especially this year knowing we would spend Christmas alone in Idaho, but I can't complain because we have a pretty good life in Idaho too.  Sofia had a lot of attention from her cousins, she didn't know what to do.

This is my blog and I can say this.  Erin is my favorite sister in law.  I stayed with her family for a couple of days and I realized how much I miss her, Cisco and the kids.


Erin, la mia cognata preferita, mi ha ospitato per un paio di giorni.  In quei giorni mi sono resa conto quanto mi manca, sia lei, che Cisco ed i suoi bambini.

Abbiamo anche conosciuto 4 nipotini.  Questo e' Liam, il figlio di Larissa, la sorella di Ismar.

CASINA

WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!!!!!!

After 5 years of renting and 4 moves, we have been blessed to find a home in the neighborhood we wanted, in the price range and square footage we were looking for.  Of course the house needs some love but it's nothing major, mostly paint, and flooring.  This picture is the same day we closed on the house, and yes we took out the carpet that same night to replace it for some flooring.  Because most of you know how much I HATE carpet!  We have big plans for this home.  I will post pictures of the rennovations process as we make progress.

ABBIAMO COMPRATO CASA!!!!!

Dopo aver affittato per 5 anni ed essersi trasferiti 4 volte in questi 5 anni, siamo stati fortunati di aver trovato casa nella zona che volevamo, al prezzo che volevamo, ed la grandezza che volevamo.  La casa ha bisogno di cose minime, come rimbiancare, e rifare i pavimenti, ma questo non ci fa paura.  Questa foto e' stata fatta poche ore dopo aver firmato i fogli.  Ismar sta' levando la moquet, perche' a parte il fatto che era bianca, ma era anche in sala da pranzo.  Abbiamo subito messo dei pavimenti in cucina, salotto e sala da pranzo.  Mettero' foto della in futuro del progresso del restauro.

Family Photos Oct. 2014

Quest'anno abbiamo fatto le foto nel giardino dietro casa, dato che ci stiamo trasferendo e il prossimo anno non saremo piu' a questa casa.  Questo giardino e' bello spazioso con molte piante ed alberi.  I bambini stanno cresendo velocemente se non avete notato.  Il tempo vola.

Halloween 2014

Per Halloween quest'anno ho voluto crearli io i vestiti dei bambini, quindi ho deciso di essere la banda Pac Man.  Come potete vedere Emma non ha voluto partecipare perche' lei si e' vestita come una ornotologa, cosa che pochi hanno dedotto. Ismar era in viaggio in Italia.  In questo periodo eravamo in fase trasloco.

This year I really wanted to make my kids costumes for Halloween, so I came up with the idea of the Pac Man theme.  Emma wanted to be an ornithologist so she was not in the picture.  Unfortunatly I even forgot to take one picture of her.  Ismar is missing because he was traveling Italy and Albania.  During this time we were getting ready to move.
