This is our every other year vacation, so we really love and try to enjoy every minute of it.  Our days are spent mostly on the beach.

Questa vacanza viene fatta ogni 2 anni, quindi cerchiamo di goderci ogni momento sulla spiaggia.

I wanted a swing for Sofia, so I searched on Amazon for one, when I realized Ismar could make me one of those old fashion one.  So we did our research and he made one.  I painted it red and I think it's beautiful.
Sofia loved it!  We had to swing her for hours the first few days.

Ero su Amazon cercando un'altalena per Sofia quando mi e' venuta l'idea di farla costruire ad Ismar.  Ho pensato che il colore rosso le donasse.  Sofia ha dondolato per ore, e abbiamo dovuto darci il cambio per giorni. 

Sweet reunion

This is sis. Biggs, Ismar's old seminary teacher.  The one that really made an impact on him for the best.  The family finally got to meet her, and thank her for the love and care she had for her students.  Ismar was one of them.

 Questa signora e' stata l'insegnate di religione di Ismar quando era alle superiori.  Una donna che davvero ha amato i suoi studenti ed ha cercato di aiutarli, Ismar e' stato uno di questi.  Finalmente ho avuto il piacere di conoscerla dopo aver sentito tanto parlare di lei, e di quello che ha fatto per Ismar.

Emma's 13th birthday

 Emma loves animals.  One of her favorite shows is Dogtown on the National Geografics, which is part of a sanctuary called Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.  We have passed this many times on our way down to AZ so we planned to stop and tour the sanctuary as part of her birthday gift.  She was super excited about the experience.  We loved learning about the sanctuary and all the good they do for our fury friends.
 
Emma, amante di animali, segue una serie televisiva che si chiama Dogtown, la quale e' parte di un santuario per gli animali chiamato Best Friends.  Questo posto lo passiamo tutte le volte che andiamo in Arizona ma non ci siamo mai fermati. Essendo partiti proprio il giorno del compleanno di Emma, ci siamo fermati a fare un tour di questo santuario.  Emma era emozionatissima.  Abbiamo imparato di tante belle cose che il santuario fa' per i nostri amici pelosi.

Birthdays - Compleanni

 Last year, Ismar was lucky to have his parents here for his birthday.  This year we were lucky again to have his brother Francisco and his family be here for this special day.  The visit is always to short but we make the most of it.  He requested I make him tiramisu' for his birthday.

L'anno scorso per il compleanno di Ismar c'erano i suoi, quest'anno abbiamo festeggiato con suo fratello Francisco e la sua famiglia.  Stanno sempre troppo poco tempo, ma ci accontentiamo del tempo che abbiamo insieme. Dolce richiesto per il suo compleanno e' stato il tiramisu'.

Italia, la mia quindicenne, lei compie gli anni una settimana dopo il padre.  Ha richiesto il tiramisu' per il suo compleanno.

BYUI event

 I love living in Rexburg for many reasons.  The biggest reason why we decided to live in Rexburg and not in the vicinity was because we wanted to be involved with the activities BYUI has to offer.  This summer the Agricultural department had this "fair" for the community.  They showed the animals that the students work with, had hay rides, had you make your own butter and so on.  We enjoyed our time spent there during Ismar's lunch.

 Quando ci siamo trasferiti a Rexburg potevamo andare a vivere fuori nelle vicinanze ma abbiamo deciso di trovare casa in Rexburg perche' sapevamo che l'universita' BYUI avrebbe offerto eventi per la comunita'.  Il dipartimento agricolo quest'estate ha fatto una fiera di animali.  Abbiamo conosciuto una "famiglia" di diversi anatroccoli, sono tutti animali domestici di un uomo che li ha portati qui.  Penso che abbia detto che ne aveva 17!

My parents came to visit for 2 1/2 weeks, we wished we could have done more but we were limited in time since Ismar was finishing up his Masters and still had to work.  We enjoyed our time together even if we didn't go to Yellowstone like we would have liked.  

I miei sono venuti a trovarci per 2 settimane e mezzo.  Li abbiamo portati in un paio di posti anche se ci sarebbe piaciuto portarli a Yellowstone.  Forse la prossima volta.

This is John, he lives in Wyoming and was one of the missionaries that taught my parents the lessons.
