Fair - Fiera

This is the Blackfoot fair, it was huge.  We went there for the food, to check out a gas insert, and the animals.  We walked out with a smocking deal on a Bosh mixer brand new for half the price of a new one.  We didn't make it to the rides, we saw a couple of friends there and we loved the animals.  Even Zoey came.

La fiera di Blackfoot e' enorme, siamo andati li' per il cibo, i caminetti a gas (di solito fanno uno sconto stracciato), e gli animali, niente giostre.  Ho avuto fortuna e dopo tanti anni di attesa ho trovato un impastatrice Bosch nuovo a meta' prezzo, era da anni che ne volevo una e poi mi serve.  E' venuta anche Zoey con noi.  A noi ci piace andare a vedere gli animali, infatti ho fatto le foto solo a loro anche perche' c'era troppa gente fuori.  Abbiamo passato un bel giorno insieme.

Sofia 3

 This year Sofia got to celebrate her birthday 2 days in a row, since the family was leaving on her birthday we decided to celebrate it the day before.  The cake was made from the left over banana split ingredients (mostly bananas and pineapples) it was topped with cream cheese frosting and toasted coconut.  It was really good!  The next day we celebrated again by taking her out for ice cream at Sonic.  Italia was working so we wanted to include her in the celebration.  Now every time we drive by Sonic she says that's were her birthday was.

Sofia quest'anno ha festeggiato il suo compleanno due giorni di seguito.  Dato che la famiglia di Ismar partiva la mattina del suo compleanno abbiamo festeggiato anche il giorno prima.  Il dolce e' stato creato con gli avanzi del banana split, le banane e l'ananas.  Forse avrei dovuto dire le rimanenze invece di avanzi....insomma era buono, ho usato anche una tipo di glassa al formaggio con cocco tostato.  Il giorno dopo dato che Italia era a lavoro abbiamo portato Sofia a prendere il gelato li' per includere Italia ai festeggiamenti.  Non posso credere che siamo gia' passati 3 anni.  Il mio pezzettino e' cosi' dolce, furba e amorevole.

Luca's Baptism - Battesimo di Luca

Luca's baptism was Saturday September 3rd, his grandparents Mima and Tito were able to come and attend and even ant Denisse and Chris.  It was a beautiful special day surrounded by family and friends.  After the baptism we went home and had banana splits....I wish I had taken more pictures, and as usual I am in none of them.  We had dinner at Big Judd's.

Luca si e' battezzato sabato 3 settembre, i genitori di Ismar, sua sorella Denisse e il suo ragazzo Chris sono venuti al battesimo. E' stata una bella giornata passata con amici e parenti.  Dopo il battesimo siamo tornati a casa per dei banana splits, come al solito non ho fatto abbastanza foto ed io non esisto proprio.  A cena siamo stati al ristorante Big Judd's.  Il mio piccolo Luca...il babbo di Ismar ha fatto un bellissimo discorso sullo spirito santo e sua sorella Denisse ha suonato il violino.

School 2016 - Scuola 2016

Here we go another school year, they need getting back on a schedule and starting to be a little more productive.  A lot of excitement the 1st day of school.  Sofia asked me this morning where everyone was.  Just me and her again, feeling free.

Un altro anno scolastico e' cominciato, fa bene ai bambini tornare ad una routine giornaliera.  Stamani Sofia mi ha chiesto dove sono i suoi fratelli.  Siamo tornate ad essere sole io e lei a casa, ci sentiamo un po' piu' libere.

Luca 8

Luca is 8.  He is a very good boy.  For breakfast he wanted doughnuts, for lunch pumpkin pancakes and for dinner Pizza Pie Cafe'.  We are so thankful to have Amazon Prime because the gifts he wanted I would not have been able to find anywhere around here, at least 2 of them.  Walky Talky, Frank from cars and the a lego from Pirates of the Caribbeans.  Ismar flew back in town late morning so he could be here for him.  This year we skipped the cake and had banana slips with a candle on top, with homemade chocolate and strawberry sauce of course.  I love cooking whatever they want on their birthday's.

Luca ha 8 anni.  E' un bambino davvero molto dolce.  Per colazione ha voluto le paste, per pranzo i pancakes con la zucca dentro e la panna sopra, e per cena siamo stati ad un buffet che si chiama Pizza Pie Cafe'.  Per fortuna abbiamo l'abbonamento Prime tramite Amazon che mi permette di compare cose che di solito qui non si trovano.  Per regali ha voluto un set di walky talky, lego dei pirati dei Caraibi e la falciatrice Frank del film Cars.  Ismar e' rientrato dal suo viaggio in Argentina verso l'ora di pranzo, per fortuna non ha mancato questo giorno importante.  Per quanto riguarda il dolce abbiamo deciso di fare il banana split con le salse fatte in casa di cioccolato e fragole, cosi' ha soffiato la sua candelina.  Adoro cucinare per loro soprattutto il giorno del loro compleanno.

Celebrate youth 2016

Emma is part of a folkloric dance group in town, she loves the instructors, and the group of friends she has made. Emma is in the yellow.  They performed at Celebrate Youth, it's a carnival type of even free to the community the week before school starts.  I didn't take as many picture, I was too busy making sure no one got lost. 

Emma e' parte di un gruppo di danza folclorico, grazie al gruppo ha fatto nuove amicizie.  In queste immagini stanno ballando ad un evento sponsorizzato dal comune per tutta la gioventu' che vive a Rexburg. Emma ha il vestito e la gonna gialla.  E' un tipo di fiera che fanno la settimana prima che cominci la scuola.  Non ho fatto molte foto perche' ero sempre preoccupata di perdere uno dei piu' piccoli.

Montana

 After the hike and working on our kitchen for a while we drove to Montana to be with one of Ismar's co-workers at their cabin.  We spent most of the time at this beautiful lake, the water was a little cold but not too bad.  This summer we have tried to explore more of Idaho going to different places but I do have say that maybe next year we will take time to explore Montana.  It was nice to stop working on projects and take the kids out for a bit.

Dopo aver scalato la montagna e fatto dei lavori in cucina, siamo andati a trovare un collega di lavoro di Ismar che ha una cabina nello stato del Montana.  Nelle vicinanze c'e' questo bellissimo lago dove loro vanno tutti gli anni.  L'acqua era un po' fredda ma una volta dentro si sta' bene.  Quest'anno abbiamo siamo stati in posti diversi qui in Idaho, ma forse l'anno prossimo ci allontaniamo un po' di piu' per esplorare un po' il Montana.   E' stato bello staccare un po' dai lavori in casa e portare i bambini qui.

Chip

This little bird was found in front of our house, he must have fallen off the pine tree.  He stayed with us for about a week.  Emma fed him baby bird food then released him outside as soon as he could fly.  He didn't want to leave at first, in fact he stayed in our backyard tree for a few days and would fly to us as soon as we went outside.  He eventually left for good.

Questo uccellino e' stato trovato dai bambini ai piedi del pino che abbiamo davanti casa, deve esser caduto dal nido.  Emma lo ha curato per una settimana circa fino a che non ha imparato a volare.  I primi giorni anche se e' volato sull'albero nel giardino dietro casa non e' voluto andare via.  Infatti e' rimasto li' e tutte le volte che uscivamo volava sulla nostra spalla.  Eventualmente e' andato via.
