Easter weekend - Pasqua

One of the perks of living here is to be able to go to General Conference.  We were able to go with my parents, Italia and Emma.

 Uno dei vantaggi di stare nelle vicinanze di Salt Lake e' di poter andare a vedere la conferenza generale, quest'anno siamo stati con i miei genitori, Italia ed Emma per la loro prima volta.

And thanks to general conference we got to see the Westenskows and the Kobers.  Especially grateful for general conference this year.

Grazie alla conferenza generale abbiamo avuto il piacere di vedere la famiglia Kober e Westenskow che sono venuti apposta per la conferenza.

Surf N Swim

 So where we live we are lucky to have a pool near by.  The pool has waves and it is covered during the winter months.  Today the kids got lucky and I took them.  We have been so busy with the kitchen remodel that it was time for a Saturday outing.

Vicino casa nostra, abbiamo una piscina con le onde, che e' scoperta d'estate, ma coperta d'inverno.  Dato che siamo stati molto occupati con i lavori in cucina era ora di portare i bambini a farsi un bagno.

Ogden Union Station

 Another Saturday, another adventure!  Today we spent a few hours at the Ogden Union Station.  It was a great place to be not only for the many things we saw but also because they had a little market of different vendors going on.  It was worth the $15 we paid to get in.

Un'altro sabato passato con i bambini al museo dei treni, che realmente e' stato piu' di treni.  Avevano anche un museo di macchine vecchie, di pistole, ed infine una galleria d'arte.  Poi al centro della stazione c'era pure un mercatino. Tanto, tanto da vedere.

It had a car show, a gun show, and even an art gallery.

Lego Room

This "room" is so small I had to stand on a stool to take a picture of it.  The previous home owner was using it as a closet.  We have made this a lego/stop motion room for our boys.

Questa stanza e' cosi' piccola che ho dovuto fare la foto dall'alto con uno sgabello altrimenti non si vedeva niente.  La signora che viveva prima di noi usava la stanza come un armadio per i suoi vestiti.  Noi la usiamo come stanza per costruire i lego dei bambini, ed anche per fare i loro video stop motion.

Ogden Temple

Abbiamo portato i bambini a vedere il tempio di Ogden, e poi a fare la spesa a Costco.

We took the kids to the temple to walk around.  This one is the Ogden temple, and then we shopped at Costco.

Aerospace Museum

We have been working really hard on the house...so we have decided to take some time on Saturdays to take the kids to do something fun, and also is part of learning to love this place.



The Aerospace Museum was great to visit.  Plenty of things to see, and things to learn.  We spent a couple of hours there and we didn't even finish seeing everything there was to see.  It was great.

 Stiamo lavorando duro a casa, quindi abbiamo deciso di cercare di portare i bambini fuori il sabato a fare qualcosa di divertente.  Fortunatamente abbiamo un museo aereonautico qui vicino ed abbiamo passato un paio di ore li' insieme.

Ismar and I went to get this bunny on January 5th to surprise the kids for the Befana, also known as the three kings day on January 6th.  He was sooo good.  We don't know the gender yet.  He is a lion head, Hotot mix.

La sera del 5 gennaio siamo andati ad adottare un coniglio per fare una sorpresa ai bambini per la Befana.  Ancora non sappiamo il sesso, ma e' un coniglio di due razze diverse.  E' stato bravissimo durante il tragitto e lo shopping in diversi negozi.

Master - Stanza matrimoniale

  We decided to do some paneling on the accent wall.  We love it.

 The tiny master bath is coming along just fine.  This month we did the flooring and part of the back splash wall were the sink is going to be.  It will be nice to brush our teeth and wash our face in our bathroom.  Ismar did a great job moving plumbing and lights to the new wall.

January 1st - 1 Gennaio

First selfie of the year of me and Ismar.  Last year has been a roller coaster ride from the moment we lost Paola, to the time we moved to a different state.  We experienced a lot of sadness in 2017. All we ask for this year is for a lot less death, and more stability.  My goal this year is to learn to love Layton and the people around me.  I want to think positive and be positive, I think we can transmit a lot to the people around us, as for me to my children and husband.  I choose happiness this year, I want to flourish were I am and I want to help my children to do the same.  I know there is positive here and we can find happiness.

Il primo selfie dell'anno con Ismar.  L'anno scorso e' stato un anno difficile, e' cominciato male con la morte di Paola, ed e' continuato con la notizia del trasferimento nello Utah.  Per noi e' stato un anno molto triste. Quest'anno non vogliamo morti, e vogliamo essere stabili.  Il mio obbiettivo e' di imparare ad amare il posto dove viviamo, sia la casa che Layton.  Voglio essere positiva e trasmettere questo ai miei figli e mio marito.  A volte il nostro comportamento puo' influenzare il nostro prossimo.  Quest'anno decido di di essere felice, voglio "fiorire" dove sono ed aiutare anche i bambini ed Ismar a fare questo. So che ci sono cose positive dove viviamo ora e che possiamo essere felici anche qui.
