Non sappiamo se e' maschietto o femminuccia, Ismar non lo voleva sapere....io si lo volevo sapere....ma per accontentarlo non mi sono fatta dire cos'era.

 

 

We don't know what the gender is because Ismar didn't want to find out since it's the tie braker...I wanted to find out but I guess we'll have a surprise after all.

Annuncio - Announcement

So on Easter Sunday our family got this picture and the poem below to announce the arrival of baby # 5.  The kids are really excited about it and so is Ismar...as for me I am trying to enjoy the moment eventhough I don't enjoy the changes in my body.  Let's be honest people it's my 5th and I know what's ahead.

A Pasqua le nostre famiglie hanno ricevuto questa foto con la poesia sottoscritta per annunciare l'arrivo del prossimo in arrivo.  I bambini ed Ismar sono contentissime, per quanto mi riguarda lo sono anche io anche se non mi piacciono tutti questi cambiamenti fisici che stanno avvenendo....e poi diciamoci la verita' essendo il mio quinto so esattamente quello che dovro' affrontare. Italia ed Emma saranno un grande aiuto.  Se vi state domandando, questo bambino e' stato voluto non e' uno sbaglio o una sorpresa.

Happy Easter

This poem has come across the miles

To fill you with cheer and give you all smiles

Living in Rexburg has changed us for good

We’ve been colder than anyone should

35 degrees is a nice warm day

We hear there’s snow on the ground in May!

The summer is the best time of year

The greatest three weeks to fill you with cheer

The kids are happy and like their schools

They made new friends and broke some rules

They play in the cold and in the snow

They eat a lot and continue to grow

Italia is famous with the boys

Emma treats “Peaches” like one of her toys

Stefano is in love with his teacher

Luca thinks his “palle” are his best feature

Ilenia’s excited when she sees grass

All the snow is a pain in her “mule”.

As for me, Rexburg is like heaven

And our family of six will soon be seven!

Peaches is Emma’s pet bird

Palle are gonads in Italian

Mule: another word for…well, you get the message.

Le pastiere...devo dire che quest'anno sono venute meglio di quelle che ho fatto negli anni passati.

Pastiera is a traditional Easter pie from Naples made with wheat, ricotta and other secret ingredients.

Per Pasqua dato che siamo lontani da tutti i nostri familiari, abbiamo passato il pomeriggio con la famiglia Hayes.  Abbiamo fatto una fuona cena a base di tortellini in brodo, insalata, salmone, patate e salsicce. E poi per finire la pastiera e il dolce tres leches.....

The Hayes family came over to spend Easter dinner with us.  We had tortellini soup, salad, baked salmon, baked potato and sausages. To finish off pastiera and tres leches cake with whipped cream and strawberries

Caccia alle uova - Easter egg hunt

 Il giorno prima di Pasqua i miei bambini e quelli nel vicinato hanno fatto una caccia alle uova in un parco vicino casa...come vedete c'e' ancora un po' di neve che non si e' sciolta.

On the Saturday before Easter we had an egg hunt at a neighborhood park with the rest of the neighboor kids.

Pathway family activity

Ismar's department had a sledding family activity at the BYU cabin...I didn't know they had a cabin.., anyways.... 
The kids loved it, and had a blast going down the hill.  The cabin was cozy, the food was comforting and the company was great.

Il dipartimento dove lavora Ismar ha fatto un'attivita' per tutti gli impiegati e le loro famiglie. L'universita' ha una cabina in montagna dove abbiamo potuto rilassarci, mangiare e visitare con le altre famiglie.  La maggior parte dei bambini erano fuori  a slittare giu' dalla montagna.

Notate il rossore sulla fronte e guance di Luca mostrano la botta che ha preso cadendo dalla slitta.

San Valentino - Valentine's Day

So Italia has a secret admiror.  She got this big Valentine from an anonymos boy at school.
Un ragazzo anonimo ha "dato" questo regalino a Italia a scuola.



Pronti per andare a cena fuori a mangiare bistecca e gamberi in un posto qui vicino.  Non sapevo avesse pianificato tutto. Troppo bello uscire per una cenetta con il maritino.

He planned dinner at a local restaurant, we had steak and shrimp.  It was so good I still think about that meal. I love this man.  I would have been happy going to Costa Vida.

The Yates

The Yates is a family Ismar met on his mission.  The last time we saw them was 11 years ago when we came and spent Thanksgiving with the Craners in Boise.  Best Thanksgiving I have ever had in the United States by the way.
The kids and Ismar had a day off from school so we decided to go visit them for the day.  They are both very talented individuals and very hard working.
Now that we live here in ID we hope to see them more often.
